WELCOME TO FYLDE 2009

The Fylde Folk Festival has been presented in Fleetwood on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire,  for the past 36 years. Based in the Marine Hall in Fleetwood and using many venues throughout the Town, we encourage visitors and locals alike to join in the Festival.

Folk festivals are gatherings, where people of all ages meet to enjoy folk music, song and  dance – the craic – that wonderful celtic word that describes everything!

Festivals are ideal gatherings for musicians to play and singers to sing and the spontaneous
sessions are dynamic – generating much energy and enthusiasm.

At Fylde we have always tried to present the very best artists. We try and maintain a very high standard of artistic performance and organisation, introducing new artists each year, not forgetting those stalwarts of the folk scene who are always popular with the festival supporters.
