Last Night's Fun
Last Night's Fun hypnotise audiences with the breathtaking virtuosity of their playing and by the creativity of their arrangements. The loveable line in patter that is their trademark lightens the mood after the intensity of music and song. They embody a fire, passion and feel for traditional Irish music not seen since The Bothy Band and Planxty at their peak. The key to the unique Last Night’s Fun sound however, is the electric, spontaneous interplay between three musicians very much at one with each other.
Denny Bartley’s distinctive vocal style, underpinned by his driving syncopated guitar was for many years complemented by the sparkling playing of concertina maestro Chris Sherburn, equally at home with song accompaniment or tunes. Chris’s self-deprecating humour bridges the gap between stage and audience.
After six years this partnership joined forces with Uilleann Piper Nick Scott and so the 'Fun' started!
Once seen as a super-group type project, Sherburn, Bartley & Scott are now a permanent collaboration as Last Night’s Fun. They will be joined in 2007 by All-Britain and All-Ireland bodhran champion
