Tallyman

Tallyman  are Norma Allott, Rusty Wright, Lynne Hewitt and Stu Wright. They are a strongly vocal group with unusual harmonies and their own characteristic style. The music ranges from classical French to African, via music hall and traditional folk.

Tallyman have always been keen to encourage others, particularly the young, and to this end they set up the Young Performers Competition some years ago, and sponsored the "Tallyman Trophy" for the winner. Since 1989, the New Generation Concert has featured past winners. Many of these young people have gone on to make their mark on the folk scene.
