The Ian Gartside Band
The Ian Gartside Band comprises Pete Skinner, a talented multi-instrumentalist but who mostly plays electric banjo in the line-up; Trevor Colluney, singer and mandolin player and John Craig who plays bass but is also a talented guitarist. All have come together because at some time in their careers they have worked as a duo with Ian Gartside. He formed the band to present folk audiences with a range of traditional and contemporary material well played and well sung. All are time-served veterans of the sixties and seventies and between them have a wealth of talent and depth of knowledge which only comes with almost a lifetime’s involvement with the folk tradition.
They have appeared many times at Fylde and other folk venues. They currently have two CDs – “Test the Water” and “ Run Ashore”, titles which reflect the maritime flavour within their repertoire.
