Fylde Folk Festival

Andrew Green

ndrew Green is no stranger to the Festival, in fact he has grown up with it. As a tot, his early festival years were spent fast asleep in a suitcase beside the reception desk under the watchful eye of his mother Ann, and during his teens, with his father Eddie, helping out on the sound desk.

oday Andrew has grown into an extremely talented young man, a gifted musician, playing drums, guitar and mandolin to name a few, but also like his father a good sound engineer. Over the last ten years Andrew has played in a number of bands of varying musical tastes and styles, eventually paving the way to become a solo performer. His passion for singing combined with playing the guitar is truly reflected in his performances.

t was Andrew’s unique arrangement of ‘Lord Franklin’ that first earned him recognition as a singer of traditional songs and his repertoire has now grown to include both traditional and contemporary songs by a wide range of artists.
