Fylde Folk Festival

Trí (pron. "tree") is the Irish word for three.

  Trí
is the dynamic young trio that has burst onto the folkscene this year with a flourish of funky fiddling and gorgeous guitar.

Niamh Boadle, the guitarist, singer (and fairy princess) of the band is well-known as a Fylde regular. She is joined by Ciarán Algar from Stoke, the young fiddler who won the Talleyman Trophy two years ago and Neal Pointon from Nuneaton . Fiddles, bodhráns, banjo, mandolin, guitar and whistle - they play so many instruments they have to get their dads to help carry them! With a shared background in traditional Irish music (and a collection of Fleadh medals), they have a range and depth to their repertoire that is astonishing for their young ages. Dance to the tunes; be stunned by the songs and step-dancing - but don't miss them!
